ETUDE HOUSE- Happy 5th Birthday Tint [REVIEW]

It's easy to fall in love with Etude House product!
So cute with pastel colours everywhere and dreamy princess beauty products, how could you not get attracted to them?!
I, myself have hauled a number of cute stuffs from them and my latest one was a Happy 5th Birthday Tint (OR202 Cherry Coral).

This color is one of the 2 limited edition colours in conjunction of Etude House's 5th Birthday.
I have been dying to own a lip tint since the korean wave lip tint craze. Was trying to find one with orange tint (because Orange is such a lovely colour <3), so here it is.

Every time I enter Etude House outlet, my mind always wanders. The sales guy was helpful in giving suggestions. I was in dilemma between this lip tint and Color Pop Shine Tint and he told me, Fresh Cherry Tint is more natural looking compared to the other one, hence I got it.
This mini tint promises shiny moist cherry lip with a creamy, smooth texture.

Fresh Cherry Tint smells like a refreshing cherry. I like it as it is pleasant and not overwhelming. Texture is rather watery and light. You will barely feel it there :)

Top: Newly applied,
Middle: After 20 minutes.
Bottom: Tinting after wash off with water.

The moisture lasted about 2 hour before leaving a darker shade of cherry orange color which is the same hue as the lip tint bottle. The lasting power is awesome. The tint stayed until the next day! Indeed, it looks very natural on my daily makeup.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Etude House products. Just that, I didn't like the taste of this lip tint. Not that I purposely go and lick it; it has this bitter taste.  I didn't take a go at how it taste like when I try it at the store neither. Making an assumption that this is to discourage people from licking the lip tint off, which I occasionally find myself doing. The unpleasant taste will wear off eventually but that will take quite some time.
I would continue to support Etude House but no thanks to this one.

I tried two method in using this Cherry Tint.
You can either apply it fully on your lips or try the 'Popsicle-stained' lips by applying some concealer on your lips before applying the tint just at the inner center of your lips. Tap gently to blend.

BLOOMTHIS- Luxury Flowers by Subscription

How would you feel when you receive a surprise package that holds the most enchanting flowers?

I would definitely be overwhelmed with joy and lovey dovey all inside,
which of course, will keep me grinning and skipping all day long.
That is what I felt when  I received my bundle of lovely surprises, many thanks BLOOMTHIS and The Butterfly Project.

BLOOMTHIS is a subscription of luxury flowers with delivery to your doorstep.
Peonies, Gerberas, Pom-Poms, Roses... You name it, they've got it.
All flowers are freshly hand-picked and unique on its own.

Let's start with the packaging.
I find that boxed flowers is very practical. Although I cannot deny that most girls will appreciate the attentions people gave when the delivery package arrives (imagine yourself in your office), I think I would want to carry my parcel back to home safely, away from prying eyes of random strangers.
The box will also protect the flowers from getting squashed during delivery and transportation.

BLOOMTHIS made a good habit to learn about the flowers too.
Here upon un-boxing, they have included postcards that tells us what flowers we are receiving, tips to keep them blooming a little longer, along with some motivational quote.

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started"
- Mark Twain

I think I am going to like BLOOMTHIS more than I expected :)

Now, with the flowers.
First, to open the package, you've got to flip the box bottoms up. *I did the wrong way and only realized later* > < . They have wrapped the flowers with a pretty ribbon. Have I told you how much I love ribbons? :)

And here you go. They are also very careful with each and every stalk of flowers. Notice the water capsule that comes with each Gerbera. Some decorative plants that comes along with the package have little plastics and cotton in them to keep the flowers fresh and dainty.
This shows how much attention and care BLOOMTHIS put into the flowers delivered.

In simple words, I really love their flowers and it is only matter of time I will subscribe; as a surprise present, graduation flower or simply to cheer someone up :)

The pictures say a thousand words.

Katsu Salon by Michael Ling- A Hair-Blowing Experience

My crown of glory has finally been deflowered!

After so many years of frustration over it's rebel, I have finally gave in to chemical hair treatment last May, one month short to my birth date.
Although it was a 2 months back experience, it serves as a good time to review back the service.
It was my virgin chemical hair treatment and I promise this is going to a good one.

I bought this coupon off the Groupon site for Katsu Salon by Michael Ling value-buy NanoThermic Treatment / Chemical service + Personal Image consultant. (Actual price was RM780 but they were having it at RM68 at that moment). Good deal eh? :)
I am thankful to my partner, who has countlessly prevented me from getting lost in this concrete world. It took us awhile to reach their salon in Kota Damansara.

*Last selfie before the Big Thing*

Upon arrival, I am impressed with the salon's interior design. Classy yet modern. I realized that all the hair dressers are male, hence thank lord that my plus-one decided to tag along. Each and everyone of them adhere to a 1-to-1 client policy. It's a good practice to prevent cross-contamination. I personally like the same one person to manage me from the beginning til the end of the process, because he would know my needs best.

*Relaxing treatment in progress*

I need to credit Mr Jeff for his professional service. I opted for the relaxing treatment because my hair doesn't have the sufficient length and I was seeking for something more natural to control my unruly hair. Jeff did such a good job in reassuring my decision. Call me a 'jakun' but I never knew that the entire chemical hair treatment takes up about 3-4 hours, depending on the condition of each individual's hair. Couldn't remember the entire process in details, but all I can say is there are approximate 3-4 times of hair washing after each sessions of treatment, which involves applying relaxing solution, hair straightening, applying solution to keep my hair in shape post-chemical service and lastly, the Nanothermic Treatment.

*Jeff straightening my hair*

If I have never understand how tedious a hair treatment was, now I do.
It is important to keep track of the timings because one mistake can cause irreversible damage to the client's hair. This is especially important during the application of the chemical solution. I have experienced some simple hair-straightening before but they are nothing in comparison to Jeff's handwork.  He was so meticulous and patient with what he was doing, that I felt safe in his hands hahaha. He also answers to all my curiosities, giving helpful advice on hair care.

*Someone was being very cheeky by calling this 'mantau in baking' when it is just the NanoThermic Treatment*

 *Satisfaction after everything is done*

I am very happy with the hair service provided by Katsu Salon. Based on my observations, all the patrons are very professional and experienced, though some of them may be more customer-engaging compared to the others.
I also need to thank Jason, who is in-charged of marketing services as he was very
friendly and helpful in explaining the general treatment process and arranging my appointment to suit my working life. You can see how dreadful my hair was before and the after effect.
No more daily tiring hair styling via Blow-Drying WOOHOO!

*Notice my crazy hair before the treatment*

This is my latest image of my hair 2 months later. According to Jeff, this chemical hair treatment should last about 2 years, which depends on your individual's hair characteristics and I am glad that there isn't much changes since that day. My hair on the right has curl back slightly on the bottom due to it's nature but it is still way better than my original hair. I supposed that I could not ask for much as Relaxing is definitely milder compared to Rebonding.

Drop those glasses and Holla, Freshkon!

Hit by basketball, elbowed in the face by accident or not and foggy spectacles as you get down your vehicle or during steamboat, any recall?

If you do, well come aboard to the Four-eyed world.  These are the few daily hurdles most sight-deficit individuals struggled to live by. Admit it, you can’t even swim freely without your sight-savior. Freshkon was among the first contact lens launched in Malaysia and if you are a contact lens user, you would have probably tried it along your contact lens history. It was my first contact lens at age 12, many thanks to my aunt for introducing me to ultimate convenience and beauty, in the less painful way.

The only Freshkon lens that I have tried so far were the daily ones, simply for it’s convenience and hygiene benefits. As I am more of the spectacle nerdy girl, contact lens are only wore when I go for outings or Cosplay events in the past.

What made me choose Freshkon are the various contact lens colour and designs. I used to wear blue, green and black back in my Cosplay times but my favorite is actually Magnetic Grey from the Alluring Eyes series. This is the colour that is the most subtle, yet alluring at the same time.

*Up close image of Magnetic Grey*

With so many type of contact lens in the market now, we as consumers definitely have more freedom now in choosing the one fits best to our lifestyle. *hail beauty for that* Whether it’s for cosmetic or sight corrective purposes, I am definitely sure that Freshkon is reliable in quality. They are ISO 9001/ ISO 13485 and Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC certified.

Freshkon lens contains Hyaluronic Acid and the surface is hydrophilic to provide superior comfort to the users. I don’t want to look beautiful but risk throwing my sight away.
You would probably heard of the recent news on dangers of cosmetic lens.
If you haven't, here is the link to You only have one pair of eyes article by the Star Publications.

The boom of safety uncertified contact lens in market, like mushrooms after rain, has put a lot of consumers at risk, especially young cosplayers who are eager to try contact lens that fits their anime characters.
No harm to pursue your past time hobbies, but my advise is do some deep research on types of cosmetic lens and do not be easily attracted to 'budget' lens. Better to be late than sorry.

*Was wearing Freshkon's Mystical Black*

I would rate comfort as 7/10 as contact lens can get dry after a long period of wearing. Based on my experience, keeping a bottle of eyedrop solution nearby can be handy to maintain moisture, especially in helping lens removal a less stressful.  If possible, remove your lens to rinse every 12 hour to help reduce eye dryness. Please do not go swimming in your lens or go places that could possibly dry the lens such as barbeque. There are some basic rule in handling contact lens. Wear lens before applying makeup and remove makeup first before removing the lens. Maintain hand hygiene at all times; conjunctivitis sucks.
Should any adverse reaction took place, consult medical attention immediately.

This is my fair opinion. Hope you will find this post a helpful one :)
